Lincomycin belong to the lincosamides, belong to the bacteriostatic agent,the sensitive bacteria include the staphylococcus aureus(include the penicillin-resistance), streptococcus, pneumococcus, bacillus anthraci, erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae,some mycoplasma(mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, mycoplasma hyorhinis, mycoplasma hyosynoviae), leptospira and anaerobion(such as fusobacterium, clostridium tetani, clostridium perfringens and most actinomycetes).Mainly act on the 50S subunits of bacteria ribosomes,through inhibiting prolonging of peptide chains to affect the antibacterial action.

Pharmacokinetics

After intramuscular injection the absorption fast,pig single intramuscular injection 11mg/kg, plasma drug peak concentration is 6.25μg/ml.The plasma protein binding rate is 57%-72%.Widley distribute in vivo,the apparent volume of distribution of pig is 2.8L/kg.In most tissue, hydrothorax, ascites, synovial fluid can reach effective level, high concentration in the bone tissue,but it can’t through the blood brain barrier into the cerebrospinal fluid.it can traverses the placenta and distribute into nilk. Liver metabolism, excrete in bile and faeces,less excrete in urine.

Drug interactions

1.Used with gentamicin have the synergistic effect on the gram-positive bacterium such as staphylococcus, streptococcus.

2.Used with aminoglycosides and polypeptide antibiotic,it can enhance the inhibiting effect of nerve-muscle junction.Used with erythrocin produce the antagonism,the site of action is same,and the affinity of bacterial ribosomal 50s subunits of erythrocin is better than this product.

3.Do not use with the inhibition of intestinal peristalsis and antidiarrheal include the kaolin.

4.It’s incompatibility with kanamycin, novobiocin.

Indications:

Used to treat the gram negative bacterial infection, especially the bacterial infections caused the resistant to penicillin and sensitive to this product,such as staphylocosis, streptococcicosis, mammitis,also used to treat the swine enzootic pneumonia caused by swine treponematosis and mycoplasma infection.

Usage and Dosage:

Intramuscular injection:For one time,per KG weight,pig 0.1ml,once a day;dog,cat 0.1ml,twice a day,continuous use for 3-5 days..

Adverse drug reaction:

It has the neuromuscular blocking effect

Precautions:

Intramuscular injection may cause the transient diarrhea and excretesoft stool。Although it’s rare, if appear should take necessary measures to prevent dehydration.

Withdrawal Period:
